In the present Internet browsers key short-cuts Alt+Shift+N operate within the MS Windows, Linux and BSD operating systems. With other operating systems and different browsers, the use of key short-cuts can vary a little (e.g. it will be Ctrl+N under the operating system Mac OS).
Some additional notes:
- For the MS Internet Explorer browser under the Windows operating system, it is required to push the Enter key after typing in the key short-cut.
- Do not use the number keys from the “NumPad” keyboard; use the keys on the keyboard located over the alphabet keyboard instead.
- Remember that for your own comfort the keyboard can be switched into the “StickyKeys” regime, under which the simultaneous pressing of the keys can be replaced by their being pressed consecutively. The instructions for switching into this regime can be found in your operating system help.
Universal design
Thanks to the separated contents and form, both font and the page size can be altered according your needs and the sites are accessible also from mobile devices.
Text version
The Comenius University website does not contain an independent text version, but thanks to the refined semantic division all users requiring the text version can access the site via their favourite device. By switching the formatting by the cascade styles off, the site is accessible from any type of a browser. Below, the method of switching off the formatting for the browsers used most frequently will be described:
- For the Mozilla Firefox browser, choose in turn: View > Page Style > No Style
- For the MS Internet Explorer browser, choose in turn: Tools > Internet Options > General > Accessibility and tick the three options ignoring the formatting.
